Vice President Kamala Harris will be in South Carolina on Tuesday to mark National Voter Registration Day.

We're less than two months away from the November midterm elections, so Harris will be making a stop at South Carolina State University, where she is expected to talk about the importance of getting registered to vote.   She will also devote time to mental health issues and others of concern to young Americans.

Harris will be joined by U.S. Education Secretary Miguel Cardona.  Recently, the Biden administration announced the forgiveness of up to $20,000 in student loan debt for Pell Grant recipients.

Tuesday will mark her third visit to South Carolina since becoming vice president.  Last year, Harris was in Greenville to talk about the importance of getting the COVID-19 vaccine and then in Columbia to talk to the South Carolina Democratic Party Blue Palmetto Dinner.
