Mask Requirement Lifted at Savannah River Site
Effective immediately, masks are no longer required regardless of vaccination status at the Savannah River Site.
A memo from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions says there are also no masking or social distancing restrictions regarding in-person meetings, due to the reduced number of COVID-19 cases in the community. Masking is still optional for all subcontractor, supplier or vendor employees.
The memo states, “Subcontractor, supplier or vendor employees who are symptomatic should still call the COVID-19 hotline and employees who test positive for COVID may inform co-workers who have been in close contact. Based on CDC guidance, personnel wi”th close contact with a COVID positive individual are permitted to remain at work and should test five days from the contact, unless they become symptomatic, at which time they should call the COVID-19 hotline for guidance regarding testing.”
