Qualified first-year students will not be required to submit college entrance exam test scores to meet admissions eligibility for the 2023-2024 academic year, according to a news release today from Augusta University.

AU officials say the school will instead require a 3.4 grade point average on required high school curriculum, as well as other requested documentation, for admission.

Students not meeting the minimum high school GPA will be required to submit SAT or ACT test scores for admission.

"This decision allows us to continue our commitment to provide students access to the enveloping value of a life-changing, life-saving Augusta University education," said Dr. Susan Davies, vice president for Enrollment and Student Affairs.

The test-optional route for admission will only apply to first year students.  All others should refer to Augusta.edu/admissions to get a complete list of admissions requirements.
