One Local Business has closed, another is closing its doors soon

Most Augusta government offices will be closed Monday, September 5 for the holiday.  Operating hours for key offices:

The Augusta Municipal Building:  Closed on Labor Day.  The facility will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday, September 6.

Augusta 311:  The 311 Center will be closed Labor Day, but the Center will be open on Saturday, September 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to support trash collections.

Augusta Utilities:  All Augusta Utilities offices, including both Customer Service locations, will be closed Labor Day.  Offices will resume normal operating hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6.  If there is an emergency not related to billing, call 706-842-3060.

Augusta Landfill:  Closed on Labor Day.  The facility will be open on the following Saturday, September 10, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Garbage Collection:  There will be no collection services for garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulky waste on Labor Day.  Collection services will be delayed by one day.  Residents should place their carts at the street curb one day after their normal day of service.

Parks and Recreation Department:  The Administrative office, all community centers, the Augusta Aquatics Center, athletic offices, the rental offices, and Henry H. Brigham Swim Center will be closed on Labor Day.  Facilities will return to regular operating hours on Tuesday, September 6.  The Newman Tennis Center on Wrightsboro Road will have regular operating hours on Labor Day, and all public parks will remain open from dawn to dusk.
