Lakeside High School Student Removed After Threats Today
Parents of Lakeside High School students were notified of a student’s threats against the school and another student this morning.
Principal Dr. Rodney Tyson said the School Resource Officer responded immediately to investigate. Officials say no weapons were found, and the student was removed from school and will be charged with terroristic threats and acts.
“Threats of violence are not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Parents, please take this opportunity to speak with your students about the serious consequences of making threats, even if made in a joking manner,” said Tyson.
He added that all those involved will be held accountable in accordance with the school district Code of Conduct.
