School Threat Results in Columbia County Student Arrest
A Grovetown Middle School student was taken into custody today after allegedly making terroristic threats.
An email was sent to parents explaining, “a student was detained and charged with terroristic acts and acts after threatening to shoot the school and another student.”
School district officials say the student will be held accountable according to the Columbia County School District Cide of Conduct.
“Threats of any nature, especially against a school or students and staff, are not acceptable and will not be tolerated. We encourage parents to please speak to your children about the consequences of fake threats.”
Today’s incident came one day after a Columbia Middle School student was caught with a shock device at school. Officials said no threats were made to students or staff.
