Blood Drive to be Held Support Walmart Shooting Victim

Shepeard Community Blood center has put out an urgent appeal for O positive and O negative blood donors.

A trauma at one of the local hospitals last night has left shelves at the blood center empty.

Shepeard Community Blood Center supplies all of the local hospitals with blood products, so donations are needed immediately to avoid any negative impact on patient care.

You can donate at any of Shepeard's locations in Augusta, Evans or Aiken.

There are also a few blood drives this week:

8/23--USC Aiken campus from 9 a.m. til 3 p.m., on the bloodmobile

8/24--Aiken Regional Medical Center, 12-8 p.m., inside the hospital

8/25--Columbia County Community Drive, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., look for the bloodmobiles at the Columbia County Government Center near the library

8/26--Hephzibah High School, 8a.m.-1 p.m., on the bloodmobile.
