Man Sought for Domestic Dispute and Shots Reportedly Fired

Richmond County authorities have investigated a shooting every day this week, two of them resulting in deaths.

Last night, deputies were called to the 2400 block of Birdie Drive where a man had been shot in the arm.  He was taken to Augusta University Medical Center, but his condition hasn’t been released.

Investigators say they have identified 28 year old Matthew Bailey, also known as “Don Lewis,”  as the suspect in the shooting.  They have a warrant for his arrest.  Bailey is black, 5″8 and weighs 170 pounds.  Bailey is from Columbia, South Carolina and authorities believe he may be headed there.

Bailey should be considered armed and dangerous.  He’ll be charged with aggravated assault when he’s taken into custody.

On Wednesday, 16-year-old Kaymaya Greene was shot and killed at the Economy Inn on Deans Bridge Road.  Nineteen-year-old Demarcus Clark is in custody charged with her murder.  On Tuesday, 33-year-old Anthony Lee Flowers was shot at the Corner Store on Wheeless Road and died a short time later at Augusta University Medical Center.  Authorities have arrested 62-year-old Frederick McNeal with his murder.  On Monday, Claude Johnson was allegedly shot by his wife, Sondrea, at Janwiches sandwich shop on Columbia Nitrogen Road.  He is recovering from his injuries.  She’s been charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.
