Man Shot at Get It To Go store this morning in south Augusta.

For the second time in 24 hours, a man was shot at a Richmond County business, resulting in one death.  Authorities say 33-year-old Anthony Lee Flowers of Augusta was shot at least one time outside the Corner Store at 2302 Wheeless Road at 10:45 this morning.  He was pronounced dead at Augusta University Medical Center a short time later.

Flowers had been arguing with another man when shots were fired.  No information is available on a suspect.  Investigators have said more information will be released when it’s available.

Meanwhile, less than 24 hours earlier, 42-year-old Claude Johnson was shot at Janwiches sandwich shop on Columbia Nitrogen Road at 11:10 a.m. Monday.  Richmond County authorities arrested his wife, 31-year-old Sondrea Johnson at the scene and charged her with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.  Johnson is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

There have been at least 24 deadly shootings in Richmond County in the last three months.
