A Harlem woman who was driving an 18-wheeler that caused a wreck in Columbia County last month has been arrested on several charges.

Authorities say Christina Richardson was behind the wheel of the rig that hit one vehicle on Appling-Harlem Highway.  The impact forced the car into a pickup truck.  A passenger in the pickup, Shirley Morris, was critically injured.

Officials say Morris died last week as a result of her injuries.

Richardson has been charged with homicide by vehicle, following too closely and operating an unregistered vehicle.

She is being held at the Columbia County Detention Center.
