Critical shortage of blood

All blood types and platelets are needed at Shepeard Community Blood Center.   Officials there are reporting a critical shortage.

Shepeard Community Blood Center supplies local hospitals in the CSRA, including AU Health, Piedmont-Augusta, Aiken Regional, and Burke Medical Center.

As a special incentive, those who donate at any Shepeard Community Blood Center location or mobile drive through this Friday, July 29, will receive 2,000 bonus points.  Those points can be redeemed in Shepeard’s donor store for gift cards and t-shirts.

No appointment is needed to donate.  Visit shepeardblood.org for locations and hours.
