Dwight Smith, who spent eight years in the majors, has died at the age of 58. He was an outfielder and member of the 1995 World Champion Atlanta Braves Team.
Smith, who also played for the Chicago Cubs, the California Angles and the Baltimore Orioles, was runner in 1989 for MLB's Rookie of The Year Award while in Chicago.
He played high school baseball at Wade Hampton in Hampton, SC.
