By mid-October, shoppers will be able to buy Toys"R"Us merchandise at every Macy's store in the United States.
The iconic toy store, which was in business almost 70 years before filing for bankruptcy in 2017, will have shops inside Macy's stores by October 15. All Macy's stores will host nine days of in-store events for Toys"R"Us, which will include hands-on demonstration tables, family friendly activities, giveaways, and even a life-size Geoffrey Giraffe sitting on a bench for photographs.
After Toys"R"Us filed bankruptcy, company officials closed 900 of its stores around the country, including one in Augusta on Wrightsboro Road. More than 33,000 employees lost their jobs as a result of the closures.
