Max Fried won't play in the All-Star Game on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Fried pitched 7 innings on Saturday. The Braves say they need him healthy for the second part of the season. Atlanta hope to close the gap in the National League East. They are currently 2.5 games behind the New York Mets.
There will still be plenty of Braves making the trip west. In addition to manager Brian Snitker , Ronald Acuña, Dansby Swanson, Austin Riley, Travis d’Arnaud and William Contreras made the roster. Acuña will participate in the Home Run Derby.
