Former SC Attorney Charged with Wife and Son’s Murder

Disgraced former South Carolina Attorney Alex Murdaugh was charged today with the deaths of his wife and son last year.  Fifty-two-year-old Maggie Murdaugh and 22-year-old Paul Murdaugh were shot to death outside the family's home in Colleton County.

Attorney General Alan Wilson said because this is an active investigation and is now a pending court case, he can't comment on any specifics.  He did say, "All the efforts of our office and the law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation have been focused on seeking justice for the victims' families."

Murdaugh is already behind bars facing dozens of other criminal charges.  Those include lying to police, money laundering, stealing money from clients, and trying to arrange his own death.
