Authorities say 54 year old John Barbara of Windsor was hit on Silver Bluff Road at King Edward Way around 4:20 p.m.
He was taken to Aiken Regional Medical Centers where he died a short time later. An autopsy will be done in Newberry.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety and the Aiken Coroner's Office are investigating the accident.
