No Warning for Boating Under the Influence
The body of a North Augusta man who was reported missing in Aiken County on Monday was recovered today.
Thirty-seven-year-old Dimitri Carter was last seen in a boat in a pond in the 400 block of Storm Branch Road in Beech Island. Divers from the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources search the pond until dark yesterday. Their search resumed today. Carter's body was recovered from the pond around 11:00 a.m.
His body will be sent to Newberry for an autopsy on Wednesday.
The Aiken County Coroner's Office is investigating, along with the Aiken County Sheriff's Office.
