Two railway employees were taken to an area hospital for treatment, but it's not known how seriously they were hurt.
Authorities say multiple cars ran off the tracks after two trains collided about six miles from downtown Columbia. There was also a diesel fuel spill as a result of the derailment, but authorities say it's been contained and cleanup efforts are underway.
