Man Shot at Get It To Go store this morning in south Augusta.

A homicide investigation is underway in North Augusta after Aiken County Deputies found a body in a home in the 5200 block of Dogwood Drive yesterday.

Deputies went to the home at 6:30 p.m. to do a wellbeing check on the homeowner.  Authorities say they found the back door to the home unlocked, then found the body of 65-year old Bobby Miller on the floor of the main bedroom closet.  Investigators say the victim had a gunshot wound to the head.

Meanwhile, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office was contacted yesterday by the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office with information on that death investigation and a possible suspect.  He’s been identified as Miller’s 42 year old son, Jason Glenn Miller of North Augusta.  He’s being held in the Colquitt County Jail pending an extradition hearing.

Miller will be charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Violent Crime.  It’s not known what prompted the shooting.  An investigation is continuing.
