We have a love-hate relationship with 4th of July fireworks. Our last dog, for some strange reason, loved them. He wanted to be outside, and created more of a "fuss" if we tried to make him come inside.
Gabby, our new dog is frightened. Even with a "pop" 3 blocks away, she immediately retreats to the bed and dives under the covers or jumps in my lap.

Different dogs, different personalities. We were not sure how Gabby was going to react this year, but are going to try some of these tip for New Year's. If you have a new pet, you may want to try these too. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to send them to me, chris@wgac.com
- Making sure its wearing an ID and has a microchip.
- Getting your dog exercise before sundown.
- Creating a safe space by placing your dog's favorite treats and toys in a room without windows.
- Closing the blinds.
