A good friend of mine who is a journalist in South Carolina recently shared the story of a lost and found item. It’s not the kind you see in community lost and found ads or attached to a power line pole.

Lost World War I dog tag returned to Jasper County family

Imagine receiving a phone call from a stranger informing you he found your father's military dog tag from more than 100 years ago. Ina Smith, who resides in Grays and is the only surviving daughter of her late father Fred W. Smith, received that call April 27.
