A woman in Austin, Texas put up a sign on her property to reduce the number of concerned people knocking on her door.  Why? Her adorable Golden Retriever, Huckleberry, likes to sit on her roof.

Can you blame the guy? It's a great view of the neighborhood.  A perfect place to patrol and keep a watchful eye on all that happens around him.  But, there have been many people who've passed by and are concerned about the dangers of him perched on the roof.  This led to many of those people knocking on her door to let her know the dog was up there.

The homeowner says there are usually around 4 or 5 people each week who notice the pup and have knocked on their door.  But, it's become a disturbance.  Especially with a young toddler in the house.  When nap time gets interrupted, it's not good for anyone!

So, Huckleberry's owners came up with the plan to post a sign in the yard to acknowledge the concerns of those passing by.  They even included a photo of the pup.

The sign says:

"Huckleberry is living up to his name and learned how to jump onto our roof from the backyard. We never leave him in the backyard without someone being at home. He will not jump off unless you entice him with food or a ball! We appreciate your concern, but please do not knock on our door - We know he's up there! But please feel free to take pictures of him and share with the world!"

He even has his own Instagram... with quite a few rooftop pictures!  See more here.

And here we are, thinking our dogs ability to sit, roll over and fetch are impressive skills.  Looks like Huckleberry has them all beat.  And looks adorable in the process!

He's definitely living his best life.  And we could all learn a thing or two... like how to see things from a different perspective... and just sit still and watch the world for a bit!
