Auto Group Donates to Augusta Technical College

Local auto group, Jim Hudson Automotive, sent a press release to announce the check presentation to Augusta Technical College.  The auto group will be donating to Augusta Tech to help fund a new training center. The check presentation will be at Jim Hudson Lexus of Augusta on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1 p.m. Jim Hudson Lexus is located at 3410 Washington Road in Augusta.

Plans for the Funds

The automotive group is donating one million dollars to Augusta Technical College.  The funds will be used for an all-new state-of-the-art training facility.  Currently, the auto training center at Augusta Tech is 10,000 square feet.  In comparison, this new space will be 65,000 square feet.  It will be the largest in the state.  As a result, they will offer 16 certification programs to more than 1,250 students each year.

  • VP of Operations for Jim Hudson Auto group - Bill Gibbs

The media and community members are also welcome to attend.
