Did you shake, rattle and roll just after 4:00 a.m. today in the Augusta area?  You're not alone.  The epicenter of the 3.9 magnitude quake struck near Metter and was felt as far away as in Atlanta and into South Carolina.

The U.S. Geological Survey initially reported the quake to be magnitude 4.5, but later revised it down to 3.9.

Most people in the area who felt the quake said it awakened them and sounded like thunder.  Moderate to light shaking was reported.  It was felt this morning in Augusta, Atlanta, Savannah, Statesboro and Macon.
