Getty ImagesJonathan English State Farm is sponsoring the second annual Stuff the Bus back-to-school event Saturday, July 16 at Walmart Supercenter on Washington Road in Evans.
You can help stuff the school bus by taking a backpack filled with school supplies to Walmart starting at 9:00 a.m. Donations will benefit Columbia County Schools and students in-need.
Currently, 31% of Columbia County School District students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
The following items are needed for students:
- Middle/high school sized backpacks
- College ruled composition notebooks
- Two-inch, 3-ring binders (hard back)
- Scientific calculators
- Water bottles
- Pencil cases

She has also worked as a former Police and Courts Reporter for The Republic Newspaper and Assistant Marketing Director of Merchants National Bank in Indianapolis. Mary Liz focuses most on local breaking news stories, feature stories on upcoming events, or community-service related organizations and the people who serve them. She has been with WGAC since 1995.
