Tom Brady is sporting a new 'do, and gets his hair colored! It's now ORANGE! And it's all for a great cause.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers partnered with the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation this week to throw an event called "Cut and Color for a Cure." Brady happily stepped up to the challenge and let a special group of kids do the honors of dying his hair.
The fun event gave kids who are battling pediatric cancer a chance to do hair makeovers on the players. The event raises money and awareness for pediatric cancer research.
With orange being the color for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, it was the color of choice for Tom Brady's new look.
When it was over, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers donated $117,000 for the foundation. The team has been working with the foundation for over 8 years now, and has raised more than $500,000 during that time.
The foundation's executive, David Frazer, said "The team’s continued commitment to assist kids facing a cancer diagnosis makes them so much more than a sports team -- they are truly heroes, rallying to create a better tomorrow for their young fans and supporters nationwide."
What a great organization, and great team, to step up for an incredible cause!
