The PGA Tour announced today that members who are playing in the Saudi-funded league in London are no longer eligible to play tour events.

Commissioner Jay Monahan has indicated in a memo there will be sanctions against Dustin Johnson, Phil Mickelson and 15 other players.  That memo went out just after the LIV Golf Invitational outside London got underway today.  Monahan says even if players resigned their membership, they will not be eligible as nonmembers to get sponsor exemptions to tournaments.

The PGA Tour's decision also includes the Presidents cup.

The United States Golf Association has said players can still compete in the U.S. Open next week.
