Press Release from Columbia County Board of Commissioners:

Columbia County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and the Columbia County Health Department will be hosting a Public Health Open House on June 21, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Emergency Operations Center (650 Ronald Reagan Drive, Evans, GA). The Public Health Open House is free and open to the public.

The Columbia County Health Department will be providing free COVID-19 vaccines for adults and pediatrics and Meningococcal Vaccine (MCV4) vaccines which are required for students entering or transferring into eleventh grade or on or after their sixteenth birthday. Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) Services will have their mobile van on site to provide WIC information and services along with a breastfeeding peer counselor. Columbia County Environmental Department will provide information on food service, on-site sewage management systems, rabies control, and water samples. Other partners participating in the event include Chronic Disease, Women’s Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, Project Impact, and Serenity Behavioral Health Services which will be providing free HIV testing along with general information.
