Blood Drive to be Held Support Walmart Shooting Victim

Shepeard Community Blood Center has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations.  All blood types are being accepted, but there's a special need for O Positive, O Negative, B Negative, and A Negative donations.  Blood donations typically dwindle during the summer months when the focus is on summer activities, but many times the need for blood products at local hospitals will increase.

In addition to Shepeard's blood centers in Augusta, Evans and Aiken, there are several mobile blood drives coming up this week:

6/8--Kendrick Paint and Body (downtown Augusta) 12-4 p.m.

6/9--First Baptist Church of Thomson, 253 Jackson Street  11:30-3:30

6/10--Charlie Norwood VA Hospital (downtown location)  10-3

6/10--Papa Johns in North Augusta  12-4

6/11--Target-Aiken  9 a.m.-1 p.m.

6/11--Dog On It Training and Grooming (Grovetown)  11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Go to the following link and type in your zip code to find other donation opportunities:
