Five-time Masters Champion Tiger Woods announced today he will not compete in the 2022 U.S. Open at The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts later this month.
Woods said his body needs more time to get stronger for major championship golf. He said he hopes to be ready to play in Ireland at the JP Pro Am and at The Open next month.
Woods returned to Augusta to play in this year's Masters Tournament after missing nearly a year following a serious car accident. He had to withdraw during the third round of the 2022 PGA Championship last month.
