Runoff Looks Likely in Mayor’s Race

With 65% of the precincts reporting, Steven Kendrick holds a slight lead over the closest challenger, Garnett Johnson, in the race for Augusta Mayor. Nine candidates are on the ballot. A candidate must have 50% of the vote, plus one, to win the race outright. Otherwise, a runoff will be needed to declare a winner.
