Gabby Gets Rescued

It's been a little over a year since our dog Dawson crossed the rainbow bridge. My wife misses him, I miss him. Even with his quirks, Dawson was the best dog for many reasons. He was loyal, spoiled, mainly by my wife. Even as he aged, he loved his people and was a protector of our home for 13 years.

Friday was National Rescue Dog Day.....so we did!  Meet Gabby. She is a sweet, playful 19 month old pup that we rescued from Columbia County Animal Services.

First, let me tell you I really thought WE WOULD BE CHOOSING.  Nope....SHE picked us. We are so glad she did.

As you can see, Gabby has settled in her new forever home with us. She loves the backyard.....and loves naps.
