It’s been a little over a year since our dog Dawson crossed the rainbow bridge. My wife misses him, I miss him. Even with his quirks, Dawson was the best dog for many reasons. He was loyal, spoiled, mainly by my wife. Even as he aged, he loved his people and was a protector of our home for 13 years.
Friday was National Rescue Dog Day…..so we did! Meet Gabby. She is a sweet, playful 19 month old pup that we rescued from Columbia County Animal Services.
First, let me tell you I really thought WE WOULD BE CHOOSING. Nope….SHE picked us. We are so glad she did.
As you can see, Gabby has settled in her new forever home with us. She loves the backyard…..and loves naps.
If you are reading this and asking yourself if it’s too late to rescue, the answer is no. Gabby has BROTHER who needs a forever home! His name is Dolce. If you’d like to rescue him just check out the link below! I can’t help but brag on the staff at Columbia County Animal Services. They are helpful, patient, and make sure all of the animals are well cared for.
I’ll end with this quote. “The world would be a nicer place if everyone had the ability to love as unconditionally as a dog.” – M.K. Clinton, author of The Returns
