High water levels will keep the Lock and Dam Park closed in Augusta for the time being.
Recent storms that brought heavy rain resulted in elevated water levels, causing debris to wash ashore. Officials say that’s made the area hazardous to the public. For the time being, the north and south boat ramps remain closed, but the boat house and marina boat ramps are open.
