Health Experts say this could be a rough flu season
Healthcare workers in 24 states, including Georgia, were required to have received their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine two days ago or have requested a medical or religious exemption.
Workers have until March 15 to be fully vaccinated or face termination.
Several of the biggest health care systems in the state, including Piedmont Healthcare which merged with University Hospital in Augusta, required workers to be vaccinated in early October last year.
Some health care officials are concerned about even more worker shortages due to the vaccine mandate.
