We are all monitoring the winter weather that may impact the CSRA in the next few days. Please note that updates from Richmond County School System will announce any weather related changes tomorrow, Thursday, January 20th. Other school announcement below.
Also, some area schools have already made the decision to switch to virtual learning, according to WJBF.
Washington County public schools will transition to virtual learning on Friday, January 21st and plan to resume in-person learning on Monday, January 24th. Each school will send home information regarding how to participate. Athletic events are also cancelled.
Burke County Public Schools are not reporting to school tomorrow, Thursday, January 20th or Friday, January 21st. These will be considered work from home days due to weather threats. Details for your child’s schoolwork can be found on the district Distance Learning website and the teacher’s Google classroom. Basketball games for Burke County High School are still scheduled to be played at home.
