Only in Florida!  This police officer was photobombed by a gator.

A Palm Bay Police Officer snapped this quick selfie when she discovered an alligator that was stuck in the storm drain.  As she went to take the photo, the alligator proceeded to open his mouth, which resulted in what looks like a smile!

No animals (or officers) were harmed in this!  The Florida Wildlife Control was called to safely relocate the smiling gator.

While it's probably less common around here, we do still have the occasional alligator at Brick Pond Park and Phinizy Swamp.  As always, never approach or feed the gators!

Check out this huge alligator that was caught in South Carolina earlier this year! Or this one (also in South Carolina) that entered a home through the dog door!
