An Augusta woman who was found dead in her home Monday was allegedly killed by her grandson.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says 75 year old Rosalynn Sapp was found unresponsive on the floor of her home on Hillwood Lane.  Coroner Mark Bowen confirmed Sapp had at least one stab wound to the torso.

Investigators say Mrs. Sapp’s grandson, 20 year old Tory Sapp Jr., was on the scene when they arrived.  They say they were able to link Sapp to the crime and took him into custody.

Sapp has been charged with murder and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime.
