It seems like we're hearing of more mask requirement changes daily.

Baseball Mask Changes

Over the weekend, the Augusta Greenjackets posted on Instagram. The post informs let fans that masks will no longer be required at their games.  These changes are effective as of today, May 18th, at SRP Park.

With the changes from Major League Baseball, the Atlanta Braves have also lifted their mask mandate at Truist Park.

Store Mask Mandates

Many stores have also been lifting their mask mandates. Most stores post if a customer is vaccinated, they may enter without masks.

Target announced yesterday that it’s easing mask requirements. Target officials say face coverings are still recommended for team members and customers who are not fully vaccinated.

Walmart, Sams Club and Costco announced over the weekend they would no longer require vaccinated shoppers to wear masks in its stores. Workers who have been vaccinated can stop wearing masks too. Walmart said state or local requirements may override their rules.

Kroger, Walgreens and CVS are among stores who still require masks.

Theme Parks

Surprisingly, even theme parks are beginning to loosen their mask requirements too! You can now ditch your masks while outside at Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other Florida theme parks.

Disney World announced park goers don't have to wear masks "in outdoor common areas," but they are still required inside theaters, attractions, and transportation.
The same goes for Universal Orlando.

SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa also revised their rules. Masks aren't required for vaccinated guests. It will be on the "honor system." They are not requiring proof of vaccination.

Some guests were shocked with the quick change of mask requirements. And not fully on board, feeling like there was no build up to it, or any sort of warning ahead of time.  Some were excited to be able to remove masks outdoors, especially as temperatures are rising in humid Orlando.

What To Expect?

It looks like we're in for a lot of these restrictions being lifted or adapted over the next few weeks and months. While the CDC may have lifted many restrictions, some businesses may continue to use them and require them for customers as well.

Most of the lifted mandates are based on people being vaccinated, but are working on an "honor system".

How do you feel about more mask requirement changes?  Are you ready to head back to a maskless society?
