Furman University has announced the death of a student on campus.
First year student Michael "Ryan" Wood of Edgefield was found dead Wednesday. Authorities haven't said where or how he died.
Wood was involved with the Beta Theta Pi fraternity and the mock trial team.
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division has joined Furman police in investigating the cause of Wood's death.
