One person was killed on I-20 when two vehicles collided early this morning in Aiken County.
A car and box truck were both traveling west on I-20 just after 4:00 a.m. when the car suddenly slowed for traffic. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the truck rear-ended the car, then drove over the top of the vehicle. The car spun, ejecting the driver, Beverly Ann Lloyd of Hopkins, South Carolina, who was killed.
Authorities say both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Lloyd's body is being sent to Newberry for an autopsy. The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
