An Aiken teenager is dead following a shooting last night in Grovetown.  The Columbia County Sheriff's Office was called to Chamblin Road at Sawmill Trail in reference to a shooting around 8:30 p.m.  Authorities found a car parked on the side of the road.  The driver, 24 year old Reakwon Watson, had been shot in the leg.  A passenger, 18 year old Tyreius Wakefield of Aiken, was unresponsive.  CPR was administered as well as first aid.  Wakefield was taken to Doctor's Hospital where he died a short time later.

Watson told deputies he pulled over on the side of the road to talk to an unknown male and that's when shots were fired.  Authorities said bullet holes were found in Watson's car.  They say 21 year old Shaunta Kemp of Aiken was spotted walking out of a wooded area nearby and they say a firearm was found in the vicinity.

Meanwhile, Grovetown Police responded to a call of shots fired last night on Lynbrook Way.  James Chatman of Grovetown was identified as the suspect thanks to a neighbor's surveillance camera.  Investigators say the video showed Chatman shooting at Watson's car as it was leaving the area.
