Shepeard Community Blood Center is in urgent need of blood donations.
They need all types of blood, but especially O Positive and O Negative donors. Blood donations typically decrease during the summer, but the need for blood products often increases as travel, and oftentimes accidents, occur more frequently.
Shepeard Community Blood Center supplies blood to several local hospitals including University Hospital, AU Health, Children's Hospital of Georgia, and Burke Medical Center.
You can donate at any of Shepeard's three locations in Augusta, Evans and Aiken.
From July 12-31, donors will be entered to win one of three $100 gas gift cards. Donors will also earn points to use in the Shepeard donor store.
