What’s one of the biggest arguments between you and your spouse?

Of course money is a well-known stressor in a relationship BUT let’s talk about an almost DAILY dispute…

What do you want for dinner?

Why is food such a tough decision for couples?  Personally, I do most of the meal planning at my house, and when I ask for suggestions or what we need from the store—I usually get an answer like, “It doesn’t matter,” or “Whatever you want”.  It drives me crazy!  Sometimes I feel like I have to make all of the food decisions and sometimes I’d just love for someone else to have some input!  Give me a fresh idea.  Let’s shake things up.  Right?  I asked other people around the station—and it turns out I’m not the only one with this dispute!  While mine doesn’t normally turn into an argument, it can be a little tense.  How about you?

Since we’ve been cooking at home a lot more as well, I think I just suffer from boredom—we eat the same things all the time, mostly because it’s easy stuff.  I am a pretty picky eater, but I like to try new recipes or shake things up sometimes. And anything I can cook easily in the crockpot makes it even better!

The same thing can happen when deciding on a restaurant (although we don’t go out near as much these days).  "Where do you want to go for dinner?".... "It doesn't matter/I don't care."  For me... it's going to be either Mexican food or Chick-fil-a.  If you don't want one of those, don't ask me to pick!

So I see it as, I’m fairly easy to please when it comes to dining out… it’s at home that I struggle.  What is the biggest argument you and your spouse deal with?
