This year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving parade will be virtual, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Macy’s officials announced today the parade will feature floats, performers and giant balloons parading along a one-block stretch of 34th Street in front of the retailer’s flagship store in Manhattan.

The parade will start at 9:00 a.m. and run until noon on NBC and will include both live and recorded segments.

Balloons will be tethered to vehicles instead of being flown with handlers, and most performers will be locally based to cut down on travel.
