South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster announced today that visitors will be allowed soon at some long term care facilities, but with restrictions.

Visits will be limited to the outdoors, and no more than two visitors will be allowed at a time provided other requirements have been met.

The facility must have adequate personal protective equipment, residents and staff must be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, and there must not have been any positive cases of the virus at the facility in the last two weeks.

McMaster said, “the time has come to reunite loved ones with their family members.”
