Golden Harvest Food Bank was the recipient of a donation from Augusta National Golf Club today that included 2,000 pounds of produce, bread and dairy items, as well as 50,000 bags of potato chips that would have been used during the Masters Tournament in April.

The food will be used to feed the hungry at The Master's Table soup kitchen downtown as well as for meals that will be distributed in the community.

Golden Harvest had already received a grant from the United Way and Community Foundation of the CSRA for the Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.  The organization helps feed those in need in 25 area counties.

The Georgia National Guard has helped to pack and distribute emergency food boxes of food that have provided 1.6 million meals to 50,000 families in the counties Golden Harvest Food Bank serves.
