Coronavirus Coverage

U2’s Bono took to the band’s social channels yesterday (March 17) to share a new song he wrote.

Bono introed the performance with, “A little postcard from bubblin’ Dublin on St. Patrick’s Day. A little tune made up here about an hour ago. I think it’s called ‘Let Your Love Be Known.’ Let us know what you think.”

The video was also accompanied by a statement from Bono that read, “For the Italians who inspired it… for the Irish…for ANYONE who this St. Patrick’s day is in a tight spot and still singing. For the doctors, nurses, carers on the front line, it’s you we’re singing to.”

The entire country of Italy has been under lockdown since Wednesday, March 11 with the only commercial entities open being supermarkets, pharmacies and newsstands. Many videos since the lockdown have gone viral showing Italians taking to their balconies and singing songs together.
