Burke County Public Schools are closed March 19th until April 14th.

Faith Christian Academy is closed March 17th until March 28th.

From Burke County Public Schools: In response to the threat of the Coronavirus, the Burke County School District will close Thursday, March 19, 2020 and will remain closed through the regularly scheduled Spring Break. At the present time, the expected return date for students after Spring Break is April 14, however, we will continue to monitor information from the CDC and GA Department of Public Health and will make additional announcements as necessary.

The district has adopted a Distance Learning Plan through which teachers will provide work packets in both digital and paper/pencil form so that students can continue learning from home. Additional Distance Learning information will be provided to students and will be available online.

From Thursday, March 19, 2020, through Friday, April 3, 2020, the school system will continue to serve meals to students via school buses using the regular bus routes as well as onsite pickup at Blakeney Elementary School for those students who do not normally ride a bus. Details regarding meal delivery and/or pick-up will be shared on the BCPS website and through our other social media outlets.
