Tornado Threat Has Just Increased In The CSRA
As residents in the CSRA and beyond are preparing for Hurricane Michael, we now have another weather related issue to worry about.
According to WRDW, our area is under an enhanced risk of tornadic activity due to the storm.
Overnight, expect between 20-50 mile per hour wind gusts, with heavy rain and possible tornadoes.
These counties are under a tornado watch until 2 a.m.: Richmond, Columbia, Burke, Screven, Jenkins, Emanuel, Washington, Wilkes, Glascock, Warren, Jefferson, Taliaferro, Hancock, Lincoln, and McDuffie.
Strong wind gusts that could exceed 40 miles per hour are expected locally after midnight.
