A four-vehicle wreck Sunday afternoon on Belair Road in Columbia County has claimed another life.
Deputy Coroner Harriett Garrison has confirmed the driver of the car that hit a pickup truck in front of Sparkle Car Wash near Columbia Road around 4:15 p.m. died early this morning at Augusta University Medical Center.
Authorities say 60 year old Bernice Andrews Jr. of North Augusta died from multiple body trauma.
A passenger in Andrew’s car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. His name is still being withheld pending notification of family members.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
